The Civil Aviation Training School (CATS) traces its origins to the 1970s, when it was established as the Air Traffic Services Training School. Today, CATS operates within the Air Navigation Services Directorate of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, providing quality-assured training for aviation professionals in Guyana and across the region

CATS is a GCAA-approved training organization, an Associate Member of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme and a registered educational institution with the National Accreditation Council of Guyana.
